Everyone's done it - you go to a great website. As you flip through, you find tons of interesting information, great things you want to buy, ebooks you want to download. You vow you'll come back later when you have more time to check it out.

And you don't ever return. Not only do you never return, you either don't bookmark it or you forget what name the bookmark was under. You've lost a potential goldmine of information, and the site owner has lost at least one, and probably several, potential future sales.

Don't let this happen to your website. Keep your customers coming back by giving them what they really want: great information and service.

Hooking Them the First Time
A customer who comes to your site the first time is usually curious, or thinks that your site has the resources to give him or her what they are urgently seeking.

If you don't either fully engage their curiosity or demonstrate that you are what they're looking for within the first ten seconds, you'll lose the sale, almost guaranteed. If, on the other hand, you hook the customer, you just might have a sale.

- Clear, legible, literate text
- Easy navigation
- Good content on the very first page.

Easy navigation is, of course, part of good web site design. To a certain degree, legible text is also part of design. But clear, literate text delivering good content falls outside web design.

How many times have you seen a beautifully-designed web site that has pages filled with jargon or impossible-to-follow information - or no information at all?

How To Create An Internet Product In One Day

Today I'm going to show you how to create a hot selling info product in one day. And get this, you'll only have to write five paragraphs. Anyone on the planet can do that.

So without further ado let's get started.

Decide on Your Ebook Topic
The first step is to have it clear in your mind what subject you want your ebook to be on.

Now what we're going to do is use other people's hard work to create our very own unique products. Sounds too good to be true doesn't it? However this is a very real opportunity that the top gun ebook publishers use time and time again to create products in lightning quick time.

Go to www.goarticles.com. You can find niche ebook ideas in article directories and we're going to use the content in them to create ebooks.

You see web site owners write articles and submit them to article directories so that they get free publicity for their sites. At the end of each article is a link back to their web site with a bit of information about their site, for example. These site owners want people to take that article and market it to people so they get visitors to their site without spending a dime on marketing. This is perfect for savvy entrepreneurs just like you.

You see what we can do at go articles.com is type in a niche in the search bar at the top right (make sure it's on "article content" rather than search by author).

Type in your niche market. So for example type in "dogs". You'll get thousands of results related to what you have searched for. Now what I want you to do is simply go through the results finding at least seventy quality articles related to the dog market and copy and paste them into word or some kind of word processing application.

As I've said, make sure they are quality articles. If you create an ebook using rubbish you'll just get a sky high refund rate and it will all be a pointless exercise. Do it right from the off and you'll set yourself up for success.

If you can, try and tie all the articles together in one sub niche. For example a sub niche of dogs might be training your dog. So you could find articles on stopping your dog from barking at night,toilet training, that kind of thing. Use a bit of imagination when using this method.

Email Article Authors
You don't want to use any articles without the author's permission.

Remember the majority of articles will have been submitted so the author can get visitors to their site without spending a dime.

However you never want to breach any copyright laws. To avoid this email the authors of each article. Explain to them that you are creating an ebook aimed at their niche market. You'd love to include their article in your book and you'll include a link back to their site and information about them. Also ask them if they have any other articles you could include.

You can expect around seventy percent of authors you contact to be delighted you're going to include their article in your book. Then all you need to do is discard the articles from authors who you haven't heard from or who won't let you use their article.

Put the articles in an order that makes sense and create a contents page. Use the titles of the articles as contents topics. You could even create chapters aimed at solving certain problems people in your niche have. So for example if you were creating an ebook on golf you could create a section on improving your golf swing, a
section on the mind game of golf and so on. All articles would make up separate chapters.

Add a graphic for your first page. You can find graphics to use at http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/clipart/default.aspx.

Add a title and a small copyright section so people know that this product is unique to you and your business. Also point out that people don't have the rights to resell it.

Finally write a short introduction and conclusion. These only need to be a few paragraphs each. Tell people what they can expect to learn and make sure you sign off using your name. Instantly you will establish yourself as an expert. You can also link to your back end products at the end of the book to increase your sales.

Finally you need to turn it into an ebook to sell. Go to http://www.primopdf.com/ and download the software. Don't worry it won't cost you a dime. Once downloaded all you need to do is in your word software hit "file" and then "print" and then select "primo PDF" as your printer. Voila. You have just created an ebook using other people's hard work.

This whole process can be done in just a few hours. Obviously you may need to wait a day or two for the article authors to get back to you but apart from that you're all set!

Anyone can use this method to create more ebooks than you'd ever be able to sell.

That's a great method right? I mean it won't cost you anything to create a product yet you could sell hundreds if not thousands of copies and keep all the profits using other people's hard work!

Turning One Ebook Into Twenty Products Or More
This is even more exciting. I'm now going to show you how to create twenty products or more using a special method that is vastly underused but hugely profitable.

It's all about dominating niche markets and this is one way you can do that.

What you do is create a generic book for your niche then create multiple versions of the product aimed at areas of the niche.

For example if you created a product aimed at dogs the generic product would be aimed at all dogs, but the sub products could be aimed at poodles, labradors, bulldogs and so on.

All you'd need to do is change the title and the introduction so it was aimed at a specific dog breed and you've got a unique product that can be marketed to a highly targeted niche.

Does that make sense?

Let me give you another example. If you were to create a product on the subject of how to be a great teacher you could create a generic book, and then with a few changes aim separate books at people teaching maths, people teaching science, people teaching history and so on.

The key here is to create a product that will benefit everyone in a niche and then create ultra specific versions.

Avoid Work At Home Stress

Most people believe that being able to work at home will make their lives easier and less stressful but what they fail to realize is that when you work at home, stress is still present but in different forms. There are certain things to consider to keep the stress level down while you work at home.

Yes, you have no-one to answer to and no set schedule to adhere to in most work at home occupations, but the end result of whether you receive a paycheck can be stressful on everyone when they first begin working from home. They can depend on no one but themselves for their income and they are also responsible for all aspects of operating the business including taxes, supplies, paying the bills and getting paid for the work performed.

Self discipline is often tougher than working for someone else, as quite often it is easy to justify doing things not related to the business since you are at home and no one is watching what you do. You will have to be the supervisor that keeps you on your toes and remaining productive. However, even more stressful when you work at home is having the rest of your family understand that when you are at home you are working.

Being able to separate work from home in a home-based business can be stressful but by reminding yourself and others that work has to be conducted and keeping it separate can reduce the stress you feel. Even with a flexible schedule you will need to set strict hours during which business will be conducted in order to stay on track. You will also need to establish certain areas of your home for business which can be used for nothing else. You cannot be productive when you work at home if others are in your office playing games and being generally disruptive to your business.

These general rules need to be discussed before you being to work at home and the rules have to be in place and enforced from the very first day your begin working from home. Without the disciplines in place and without the understanding of family members, your business will suffer. How to Register a Domain Name and Build a Website

10 Blog Traffic Tips

In every blogger's life comes a special day - the day they first launch a new blog. Now unless you went out and purchased someone else's blog chances are your blog launched with only one very loyal reader - you. Maybe a few days later you received a few hits when you told your sister, father, girlfriend and best friend about your new blog but that's about as far you went when it comes to finding readers. Here are the top 10 techniques new bloggers can use to find readers.

These are tips specifically for new bloggers, those people who have next-to-no audience at the moment and want to get the ball rolling.

It helps if you work on this list from top to bottom as each technique builds on the previous step to help you create momentum. Eventually once you establish enough momentum you gain what is called "traction", which is a large enough audience base (about 500 readers a day is good) that you no longer have to work too hard on finding new readers. Instead your current loyal readers do the work for you through word of mouth.

Top 10 Blog Traffic Tips
10. Write at least five major "pillar" articles. A pillar article is usually a tutorial style article aimed to teach your audience something. Generally they are longer than 500 words and have lots of very practical tips or advice. This article you are currently reading could be considered a pillar article since it is very practical and a good "how-to" lesson. This style of article has long term appeal, stays current (it isn''t news or time dependent) and offers real value and insight. The more pillars you have on your blog the better.

9. Write one new blog post per day minimum. Not every post has to be a pillar, but you should work on getting those five pillars done at the same time as you keep your blog fresh with a daily news or short article style post. The important thing here is to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.

You don't have to produce one post per day all the time but it is important you do when your blog is brand new. Once you get traction you still need to keep the fresh content coming but your loyal audience will be more forgiving if you slow down to a few per week instead. The first few months are critical so the more content you can produce at this time the better.

8. Use a proper domain name. If you are serious about blogging be serious about what you call your blog. In order for people to easily spread the word about your blog you need an easily rememberable domain name. People often talk about blogs they like when they are speaking to friends in the real world (that''s the offline world, you remember that place right?) so you need to make it easy for them to spread the word and pass on your URL. Try and get a .com if you can and focus on small easy to remember domains rather than worry about having the correct keywords (of course if you can get great keywords and easy to remember then you've done a good job!).

7. Start commenting on other blogs. Once you have your pillar articles and your daily fresh smaller articles your blog is ready to be exposed to the world. One of the best ways to find the right type of reader for your blog is to comment on other people's blogs. You should aim to comment on blogs focused on a similar niche topic to yours since the readers there will be more likely to be interested in your blog.

Most blog commenting systems allow you to have your name/title linked to your blog when you leave a comment. This is how people find your blog. If you are a prolific commentor and always have something valuable to say then people will be interested to read more of your work and hence click through to visit your blog.

6. Trackback and link to other blogs in your blog posts. A trackback is sort of like a blog conversation. When you write a new article to your blog and it links or references another blogger's article you can do a trackback to their entry. What this does is leave a truncated summary of your blog post on their blog entry - it's sort of like your blog telling someone else's blog that you wrote an article mentioning them. Trackbacks often appear like comments.

This is a good technique because like leaving comments a trackback leaves a link from another blog back to yours for readers to follow, but it also does something very important - it gets the attention of another blogger. The other blogger will come and read your post eager to see what you wrote about them. They may then become a loyal reader of yours or at least monitor you and if you are lucky some time down the road they may do a post linking to your blog bringing in more new readers.

5. Encourage comments on your own blog. One of the most powerful ways to convince someone to become a loyal reader is to show there are other loyal readers already following your work. If they see people commenting on your blog then they infer that your content must be good since you have readers so they should stick around and see what all the fuss is about. To encourage comments you can simply pose a question in a blog post. Be sure to always respond to comments as well so you can keep the conversation going.

4. Submit your latest pillar article to a blog carnival. A blog carnival is a post in a blog that summarizes a collection of articles from many different blogs on a specific topic. The idea is to collect some of the best content on a topic in a given week. Often many other blogs link back to a carnival host and as such the people that have articles featured in the carnival enjoy a spike in new readers.

To find the right blog carnival for your blog, do a search at http://blogcarnival.com/.

3. Submit your blog to blogtopsites.com. To be honest this tip is not going to bring in a flood of new readers but it's so easy to do and only takes five minutes so it's worth the effort. Go to Blog Top Sites, find the appropriate category for your blog and submit it. You have to copy and paste a couple of lines of code on to your blog so you can rank and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You will probably only get 1-10 incoming readers per day with this technique but over time it can build up as you climb the rankings. It all helps!

2. Submit your articles to EzineArticles.com. This is another tip that doesn't bring in hundreds of new visitors immediately (although it can if you keep doing it) but it's worthwhile because you simply leverage what you already have - your pillar articles. Once a week or so take one of your pillar articles and submit it to Ezine Articles. Your article then becomes available to other people who can republish your article on their website or in their newsletter.

How you benefit is through what is called your "Resource Box". You create your own resource box which is like a signature file where you include one to two sentences and link back to your website (or blog in this case). Anyone who publishes your article has to include your resource box so you get incoming links. If someone with a large newsletter publishes your article you can get a lot of new readers at once.

1. Write more pillar articles. Everything you do above will help you to find blog readers however all of the techniques I've listed only work when you have strong pillars in place. Without them if you do everything above you may bring in readers but they won''t stay or bother to come back. Aim for one solid pillar article per week and by the end of the year you will have a database of over 50 fantastic feature articles that will work hard for you to bring in more and more readers.

You know where you are (as is) and you know where you want to be (should be). Next step is to identify the barriers and come up with a proper action plan (barriers, gap) that can be implemented to get you from where you are to where you want to be, and at all times keeping in mind how different your life will be when you arrive to that destination in your mind (payoff).

From assessing a potential client to assessing my own life or a project, use those 6 words to assist you in getting from idea to implementation.

Next, ask this key question: Who is your ideal target market?

I mean down to the nitty gritty! Where do they surf online? What business are they in? What car do they drive? What size house do they own? What magazines do they subscribe to? What online newsletters do they subscribe to? What memberships do they have (gym, golf club, online communities, etc)? Who are the key leverage people they listen to?

Then, how can you get your irresistible message and call to action in front of them?

Let's back up a step...

Knowing who your ideal target market is, what are their hot buttons, problems, worries, fears? Their aspirations, dreams, goals?

From answering that, what is your absolute best attempt at helping them overcome their fears and at the same time assist them in reaching their goals through your amazingly irresistible offer? (Which would grab their attention just as much as if Hulk Hogan reached across the table and grabbed their throat.)

Some people call that a USP. What is your USP (Unique Selling Proposition/Point)? What separates you from your competition?

Of course, there are scam artists who target those who want to start their own home based business, but there are also scam artists who target average computer users around the world. These scam artists are adept at creating web sites that look and feel just like the web sites that you commonly use. For example, they can make an exact duplicate site of your bank's web site, in an attempt to trick you into providing them with your username and password, or other sensitive data, such as your account number or credit card number.

In home based business scams, however, things work a bit differently. In this case, the scammer simply wants you to give him your money, in exchange for a load of lies and unfulfilled promises. He doesn't need your bank account information, he just needs payment, which inexperienced hopeful people will happily give him. He will take your money knowing that he is crushing your dreams and draining your bank account - and he won't care.
